That’s where I come in!
Hi, I’m Faz, the hands and the horse tuned heart behind The Rug Works. Horses and sewing have been stitched into my life from the very start, from dog rugs to the endless stream of horse rugs and straps I’ve repaired over the years.
After years of mending gear in colder places, I’m now happily settled in the Scenic Rim - the warmer weather is much kinder on the bones and perfect for keeping the machines humming.
I offer reliable, trustworthy service with quality, practical repairs backed by a lifetime of horse sense.

Repairs are priced according to time involved + materials, with a minimum charge of $15.
We're happy to provide a price guide upon viewing the rugs/items to give you peace of mind.
We can repair many types of horse rugs, horse gear & pet accessories to extend the life of the item.
From small patches, replacing clips/buckles & adding reinforcement to complete re-construction.
In some cases, fabrics / materials may be sun-damaged or have deteriorated over time. If a rug / item is beyond economical repair, we'll always let you know to avoid unnecessary expense.
Yes, All rugs are to be clean and must be free from mud and clumps of hair.
Cottons/ripstops (summer weights) must be washed.
Clean rugs aren’t just about looking tidy - they protect our sewing machines which keeps repairs affordable.
If summer rugs are not clean, a $15 cleaning fee will be added to the repair charge and may delay the repair turnaround time.
If heavy/winter rugs are not clean, unfortunately we're unable to repair them.
We carry a range of materials and will match your colours or fabrics as closely as possible.
Yes, We can add extra Velcro, webbing or other materials to help your horse’s rug fit beautifully and stay secure.
Yes, We can collect and drop off your items in the Scenic Rim Region - This includes Beaudesert, Canungra, Tamborine, Boonah, Jimboomba and anywhere in-between.
Drop off is also available upon request in Veresdale 4285 QLD.
Our standard timeframe for turnaround is 5 business days, however if time permits, we may be able to rush through urgent jobs for an extra fee.
A lot of things! We have industrial machines to create items using most medium-heavy fabrics so if you have a pattern, sample or simply an idea, contact us to discuss.
